Homeschooling, Small Business Owner, & Direct Sales

To say I’ve been a bit busy is quite the understatement! There are many things going on right now and as a result, blogging has taken the back burner. So, I’ve decided to drop in and give an update as to what I’ve been up to.

We’ve started our second year of homeschooling, which is going great! This year I have a 7th, 5th, and 3rd grader, as well as a preschooler and a busy toddler. Whew…did you get all that! As a newbie in the homeschool world, trying to keep everything and everyone on task can be quite daunting. I try to stick to a schedule as much as possible to keep things from getting completely chaotic. It’s a learning process trying to figure it all out. I’m so thankful for our homeschool group that meets once a week. It’s a great time for the kids to learn and hang out with other home school children and it’s especially great for me to spend time with other Christian homeschooling moms. This group is such a blessing!

I didn’t decide to homeschool because I thought it would be a fun idea, this is all the Lord and I’m simply trying to follow His lead for my life. So when the days get long and the housework is beyond backed up, the Lord reminds me that I can do all things through Him who gives me strength (Philippians 4:13) and that He works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). Homeschooling is a great journey, but it does require discipline, hard work, and lots of prayer. *smile*

Small Business Owner

So the next interesting and time consuming thing I’d like to share is my cleaning business. My husband and I own a residential and commercial cleaning business and it is keeping me super busy! I handle all the administrative and marketing stuff and it’s a lot. But I love working with my husband and owning a business has always been a dream of ours. So if you need residential or commercial cleaning in the Memphis area, be sure to contact us!

Norwex Independent Consultant

I just became a Norwex Independent Consultant and I’m super excited about it! I’ve been looking for some natural, non toxic items to use in my home and cleaning business and one of my sweet HelloMornings, Twitter friends is a consultant, so I decided to join her team. Norwex offers some really great, innovative products and I’m looking forward to growing this business and helping people rid their homes of unhealthy toxins.

I have a lot going on right now, but I’m blessed to have my health and strength to get it all done. Until next time…
